在这里不得不说amazon是一家非常不错的公司,我误用了它static IP服务,再我的申诉下它给我退款了,也就区区$6.11,工作人员给我很详细的回了邮件,并在邮件中教我怎么样取消服务。

在看了 @wangpei老师写得在amazon被猫买误买书退款书的文章下,我想我也可以试试,如果成功了,挽回了自己的损失,不成,就当花钱买个教训,谁让自己手欠开这么多服务呢?! wangpei老师的两篇文章:

amazon aws服务并没有留下联系邮箱,至少我找了很久没找到,于是在contract us页面里找到Email AWS Account and Billing Support后填写了一个单子,包括邮件地址,AWS账号,姓名等,然后大概一天多以后收到了它们邮件的回复说可以退钱给我,但要等几个工作日。

邮件大致的意思说,我账户产生的费用是正常的,费用是我选取了额外服务所产生的,但是出于第一次礼貌,可以把钱退给我,钱将会在几个工作日退还到我的信用卡中。

我可真的没有想到amazon会把钱退给我,它真是一个伟大的公司。

下面是邮件的内容:

Sorry to tell you that I am in trouble. Half a year ago, your AWS service and static IP service is free. Last month, I applied your AWS service and static IP, but there is no prompt to tell me that the static IP service has started charging. In the case of unknown I have used this service for a month. When I in the bus the bank send a sms to tell the the credit card is charged. I don’t know what has happened. So I called the bank to suspend the credit card. I think you also have some responsibility, because you did not inform the user the charging of the services .

I wonder if you could kindly refund me for this accidental use? I have canceled all aws services. My account is ***@gmail.com.

Hello ***,

I’m sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you. I’ve researched your account and confirmed that the charges incurred on your account are correct. Although your account is eligible for the AWS Free Usage Tier, your usage charges were based on activity that was outside the specifications of the offer.

As a one-time courtesy, we’ve approved a refund of the charges in the amount of $6.11. Please allow 3-5 business days for this refund to process.

I’ve reinstated your account for you to log in and release the Un-attached elastic IP address and stop any running instance. Once you have done so you can close your AWS account as you like.

You can use the EC2 API command line tools to release the Elastic IP address with this command:

  ec2-release-address

You can also release the Elastic IP address using the AWS Management Console:

http://console.aws.amazon.com/ec2

If you are unsure which AWS Region your Elastic IP Address resides in, please be sure to check in each Region using the Region drop-down list in the upper portion of the left hand navigation panel.
